Final Project | The Claw Machine

Soo, The idea of my final project is making my own version of the claw machine and scalable one using simple claw mechanism and electronics

It will be the same concept of the real version of the claw machine but the prizes will be different somehow as well as the design

First | Description

The Game:-

1. The waiting phase, which is the default state of the machine waiting for people to come and play, home position for the claw, lights are one differenlty and music background
2. Coin inserted, when someone insert a coin into the coin area and light will be green and there will be a sound effect of a coin being inserted to make it more fun
3. Press start button, to start the game u should press the button and then start using the joystick, then there will be a game mysic at the background
4. press start button again (or time is over), when u place the claw in the desired place u should press the button again to make the claw drop

There will be a timer for 20 sec to press the button again, if it is not pressed, there will be no more joystick contact and the claw automatically will be dropped after 20 seconds

Step1 | Drafting & Testing

Here are my drafting for the project, i will make a big box with 75 hight and 40 x 40 as lenght and width

The body will be wood, i will use cnc machine and the material would be 18 mm.

Then i start making test on cad app like fusion 360, and strat making each part individually them assemble them

and the's a fast and quick example of my htoughts about the body of the machine testing the joints too..

and for the joints i used L joints for the wood parts

and for the acrylic 3 walls i made a slot in each part with 10mm depth for the walls to be well adjusted

For the final result of the design for the machine...

Then i start making places for motors in my design..

And a hole for thingd to get inside the machine, which is the game prizes

And for the midpart to hold the gifts i used laser cutter and 6mm wood and here is the results

Then the gripper mechanism i used x, y axis mechanism..

And then strart cutting on the cnc..

For the 3d printed parts.. tried first tryial and got some machine problems somehow and that is happened...

So printed them again and went to...

Then i start cutting the rest of the parts on the cnc..

Then start making the gripper or claw mechanism..

Then The final product isss....
